Spine and Scoliosis Research Associates Australia (SSRAA) was established in 2021 by Professor Aaron Buckland with the aim of continuing, expanding,
and developing cutting-edge spinal research. SSRAA consolidates Associate Professor Buckland’s research portfolio and ongoing activities, seeking to foster
collaboration and scientific innovation.
The SSRAA team focuses on translating clinical findings into evidence-based improvements in spinal surgery and patient care.

Fellowship
The SSRAA Fellowship, under the principal supervision of Prof Buckland at the Melbourne Orthopaedic Group,
provides a comprehensive clinical and research experience in spinal surgery.
Our clinical fellowship program is delivered in a multifaceted structure in order to ensure a broad exposure
to real-world clinical cases and high-level research across the entire scope of spinal pathology.
Fellows receive direct mentorship, participate in advanced surgical procedures, and collaborate on
ongoing studies aimed at improving patient outcomes and shaping the future of spine care.
