Prof. Aaron Buckland is a leading Spinal Surgeon with subspecialty expertise in adult and paediatric spinal deformity, complex revision surgery, and minimally invasive spine surgery. He works predominantly in private practice at Melbourne Orthopaedic Group and holds an appointment at Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne.
Prof. Buckland has published over 180 peer-reviewed articles and delivered more than 120 podium presentations at national and international academic meetings. He has received several awards from specialty societies including the Spine Society of Australia, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Scoliosis Research Society, International Society for Advancement of Spine Surgery, and the Hip Society. In 2025, he was recognized as Australia's Leading Researcher in Orthopedic Medicine and Surgery by Research Magazine.
